    This worked!
    I just got a new internet service provider and got a new router in the deal. The new router has the 5GHz band. My wife's laptop does not. I did a little digging and found this compact wifi dongle. The laptop is 3 walls (about 20') away from the router. It has been maintaining between 10MB/s and 20MB/s download according to the internet speed test. That is significantly better than the 1-3MB/s the factory 2.4GHz wifi in the laptop.
    I followed the steps for the installation and had no trouble with the installation.
    I have had it for about a week. If anything changes I will update then.

    Easy to install, works fine
    I bought this adapter because my old laptop wifi was not able to cope with more than 30 mbps speed Internet.I have a Windows 10 machine I have started to use. I have had it a while. I have other computer and some are not connected to the internet. I wanted something I could use with each of the machines to go online with them as I choose. I bought the adapter and installed into the Windows 10 desktop. Everything went well. They work as described and are an inexpensive path to an upgrade.
    All in all. I will buy another one very soon. It is a good product.

    So easy!
    My laptop wifi was very poor tried everything. Finally i decided to get a external. Went back and forth on several products. Well soon as I plugged it in win10 detected it and installed it and my wifi was at peak reception It has been great working great for a couple weeks now. This device is so easy to install on my Windows 10 PC that it took me awhile to figure out that I didn't have to do anything to make it work. That's it! Really simple and a lifesaver for the mobile lifestyle.
